Kevin Adamson has always taken great pride in providing individualized attention and compassionate service to his clients. In fact, it was this desire to truly get to know clients that led Kevin to start his own firm. “In some firms, the cases are just files and numbers,” he says. “But I wanted to give a personal touch to the clients. I started my practice with the thought of having a smaller number of cases that I could focus more attention on.” Kevin has been providing full-service plaintiff’s counsel to clients who have suffered personal injuries since 2001. He did his undergraduate studies at LaGrange College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and international business while also playing on the baseball team. He then went on to get an MBA from Lynchburg College before enrolling at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. After graduating from law school a semester early in December 2000, Kevin started his practice soon after in 2001. Since then, Kevin’s consistent focus on high-quality service and top-notch representation has brought about significant results for their clients. In 2015, a jury returned a $72 million verdict for a client who was injured in a dog attack, and in 2018, Kevin achieved a $30 million judgment in a case involving a tractor-trailer explosion. In addition, Kevin’s cases have resulted in numerous six-figure and seven-figure verdicts and settlements.” Kevin Adamson is also a registered arbitrator and mediator with extensive experience handling contract negotiations for a variety of professional services, including athletic contracts. Kevin brings the competitive spirit of his baseball days to his advocacy on behalf of clients and admits that he enjoys going up against opposing counsel in court. But his primary satisfaction comes from his clients. “I’m representing people with a soul,” he says, “helping them through the darkest days of their lives.” Kevin devotes much of his spare time to following baseball but is also interested in aviation. He has his own airplane and makes good use of it within his own law practice, which has taken him to 18 states.

Attorney Vincent Van Deventer grew up in Bloomfield, Indiana, but now calls Birmingham, Alabama home. Vincent earned a BA in political science and history from the University of Alabama in 2019 and earned his JD from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2024 and was admitted to practice in Alabama the same year. Vincent is admitted to practice before all Alabama state courts and all federal courts in Alabama. Vincent is also an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association. Vincent began his practice in personal injury law with Kevin A. Adamson, P.C. and has worked extensively on personal injury cases and other civil matters, including motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, and wrongful terminations. Vincent enjoys zealously advocating for his clients and working to reach the best outcome for them. In his free time, Vincent enjoys spending time with his significant other, Kylie, and their three dogs. Vincent is also an avid sports fan and especially enjoys spending his Saturdays in the fall cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Faith Thompson possesses over 25 years of experience as a legal professional, offering invaluable expertise to our clients as a litigation paralegal at Kevin A. Adamson P.C. Thompson’s career began in medical malpractice defense, where she developed her legal skills as a legal assistant. Recognizing her passion for advocating for those in need, she transitioned to plaintiffs’ personal injury, where she has thrived for many years. Her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Shorter University further underscores her dedication to serving others. Faith’s greatest strengths lie in her exceptional client communication skills, including active listening and clear explanations. She is relentlessly dedicated to client satisfaction and takes pride in building strong relationships with clients, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the legal process. Beyond her dedication to her work, Faith enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations through travel, and participating in friendly bowling competitions.

Maria brings over 27 years of legal experience to Kevin A. Adamson P.C. Her in-depth knowledge of court systems, filing procedures, Workers’ Compensation, and Personal Injury law makes her an essential asset to our team as the firm’s Case Manager. Maria graduated from Glendale Career College in November 1996 and completed coursework at Los Angeles City College in March 1986, solidifying her legal foundation. Maria excels at analyzing complex legal matters and developing creative solutions. Her exceptional organizational and administrative skills ensure efficient case management and streamlined workflows, maximizing team productivity. Maria fosters a productive work environment with her friendly demeanor and clear communication skills. She’s a master at juggling multiple projects while meeting deadlines. A true team player, Maria’s willingness to go above and beyond to help others is invaluable. When Maria’s not tackling legal challenges, she enjoys dancing, reading, and unwinding with comedies and lifetime movies. Sheila Miller is a dedicated Litigation Legal Assistant with a robust educational background and diverse professional experience. Graduating top of her class from Apalachee High School, Sheila went on to attend Georgia Gwinnett College and the University of Georgia, where she consistently made the dean’s list and earned a Business Degree in Management and International Strategies. Her academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her career, enabling her to excel in various fields including interpersonal sales, the technological sector, international marketing, and multiple fitness divisions. Sheila’s professional journey is marked by her ability to adapt and thrive in different organizational operations. Her varied experience has allowed her to develop a wide range of skills, making her a versatile asset to any team. Beyond her professional endeavors, Sheila is deeply committed to her community. Since 2009, she has been actively involved in fostering and volunteering at local animal shelters across Georgia and with the Georgia SPCA organization. Additionally, she contributes to environmental conservation efforts by assisting Gwinnett County parks and recreation. In her personal life, Sheila enjoys a multitude of activities that reflect her adventurous spirit and love for learning. She delights in exploring local cultures while traveling abroad, riding her horse, working out both indoors and outdoors, dancing, and learning different languages. Sheila’s passion for unique experiences and meeting extraordinary people enriches her life and work. Randy Miller is a graduate of Newberry College with a degree in Sociology. He spent years as a Sales Representative in the woodworking industry, and made great use of his natural “people skills”. Randy has also spent time working as a home appraiser and part-time at a local golf course. Kevin A. Adamson, PC welcomed Randy as an enthusiastic member of our Intake Team in 2024 and he has since been providing exceptional service to our clients. With a passion for helping people, he thrives on making every interaction meaningful and supportive. As one of our initial points of contact, Randy aims to ensure a responsive and seamless experience that guides clients through our intake process effectively by helping to address concerns and streamline communication. When Randy is not assisting clients for the firm, he enjoys spending time with family as well as outdoor activities, such as gardening and golfing.
